Quick Curb Appeal

This is the front of the row house before we purchased it. Even though our current projects are on the INSIDE, I couldn't completely ignore the front porch. So, $41 at the big orange store and voila! That's opal basil, oregano, lemon thyme, pansies and galardia in the boxes, and the requisite Victorian-ish ferns hanging above. Much better!

Oooh! Guess who came to the row house today? The FLOOR GUYS!

  2. As a fellow New Englander, I'm drooling over that brick. Brick brick brick brick! Love a brick house! The plants really bring it to life.

  3. I love row houses! We live in Holland and there are quite a few beautiful places here. Can't wait to see what you do with your place; so much potential.

    Happy SITS day!

  7. I've been aching to do this too. I have plant hangers without plants and planters flanking the steps that are in need of plants. I want to head to town and buy enough to fill all those spots at least. I'm sure a few tomato plants would find their way into the basket as well. :)

  14. Your porch picture just helped me solve a question about the proper location of our downspout. Now I just have to get rid of the squirrel living under the porch roof that has created an e-z access hole around the downspout. I was hoping when I moved away from Amherst the squirrel issues in my life over the past few years would go away. Oh well, I must face it, I now live next to a park.
