Farm Share Friday!

**Every Friday, Holyoke Home is posting images from our weekly farm share at Mountain View Farm. I hope you'll enjoy seeing what the farm has to offer!**
The bounty at the farm this year is nothing short of mind blowing. And because of the tomato blight last year, I am SUPER conscious of EACH. DRIPPY. BITE of local organic tomatoes from the farm. New this week? Cantaloupe!
See the green and blue stacks to the left of the cantaloupes? Those are all the share tomatoes. They are luscious. And sometimes orange. Also new this week? Hot peppers!
I was too scared to take any. I may have had a little hot pepper accident in my past. DON'T ITCH ANYTHING ON YOUR BODY YOU CARE ABOUT AFTER TOUCHING A HOT PEPPER.

Maybe I'll get braver next week.

  1. OMG those peppers are beautiful! I don't cook, but I love "pretty" food. I sometimes buy peppers just to look "pretty" in my kitchen and those are so very pretty!!

  2. I totally agree about the peppers. I wish I had some kind of useful tip to avoid that...but even after washing your hands like 3 times it's still a threat to your eyeballs (or whatever)...maybe wear gloves when handling??? Also a little bit goes a looong way!

yeah... i've definitely rubbed my eye after touching a supposedly "mild" pepper. It didn't go too well.
