Mid-Century Modern Find?

At the same time I found the beehive teak wine rack last week, I found this little gem too.  It appears to be a plain teak container. I have no idea if it's mid-century modern or not, but it kind of has that look, no?

I'm using it for all things 'Morgan' on our front hallway console: handsome jangly collar, poop bags (prior to use), and a not so handsome leash. (Someday, I'd really like a 6 foot leather leash for Morgan in a striking color. It would suit both his peppy gait and my aesthetics.)
How do you organize all the STUFF that accumulates in your front hallway?

  2. That looks exactly like an ice bucket (yes, an ice bucket) my family had in the '60s. Ours had a white plastic, well, lining I suppose is the best word for it.

    Very cool find.

  4. Company..strangers...people I don't want to parade past Squeak's litter box use the front door..us regular folk use the laundry room/mud room/garage entrance into house door...that's where the junk piles up...I would need a cool container the size of a casket to hide it all! Very fun and cool find and I think it looks like an ice bucket too...but prettier!

  8. That is the perfect container to stick all those keys in. You know the ones you always lose or misplace. I need me one of those! Its hard to find interesting ones with lids. They need to have lids, so you can't see the mess inside.
