If you need a refresher on our DIY patio project, visit my last post about it. Okay....... here's what our patio area looked like BEFORE we moved in:
Ahem.....can we see those side by side please?
Love to Mr. Man for his MAD patio-making skills (just add it to the very long list.)
He made a little step down there on the right to echo the curves of my garden beds. Isn't it perfect? Yum.Cost/product info on Monday after Friday's Farm Share post

Oh no! No comments! You guys aren't feeling it?!
ReplyDeleteI think it's looks really good :) Hard to believe it's the same yard!
ReplyDeleteOh!! Just beautiful!!! {I was a little slow doing my reading this morning...Okay! Don't be calling me out!! LOL}
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a totally different space now. Huge improvement. I am looking on and taking notes ;-)!
ReplyDeleteI noticed you used to have a clothes line where you patio is now. Where is it now?
ummm, where will you dry your clothes now?
ReplyDeleteIt looks fantastic! I'm sure you will use and enjoy every inch of it!
Hi Sweetie, What your readers can't tell from the photos is the difference BELOW ground level. When you started, the soil was mostly gravel, no organic content, no worms, etc. Now the soil is a joy to dig in (for humans, plant roots and worms).
ReplyDeletelove, mom
What a gorgeous oasis you have created! And I noticed that the curve of the step exactly matches the curve of the plant beds. Nice!
ReplyDeleteWow I LOVE it! The curves, the stone edging, the step...it's all perfect! You two have added a lot of sweat equity to that backyard.
ReplyDeleteAhh, I do love a good before & after! It is so fabulous. I am in awe of all your hard work!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that you had more lawn next to your patio! It makes much more sense to me now... and I LOVE the curves! Those simple borders make the gravel seem European, and classic, rather than a budget solution. Nice work. I need to see more of the yard, though. I want to see how the patio connects to the building, and the rest of the area... you've got me intrigued!
ReplyDeleteIt's AWESOME!! I love the curved bed lines. In my mind, this is how my garden would look too. Right now it's just plain embarrassing.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, this is great. Great job and I know (from experience) how much work something like this takes. Loving it!
REALLY lovely with great lines!
ReplyDeleteWow - that looks so great! You guys should be proud of yourselves. It looks wonderful. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome!
ReplyDeleteSorry for my delayed response...I'm still playing catch-up with blog reading.
Very nice transformation! Kristie
